Rev. Marge was ordained in 1982 after graduating from Virginia Theological Seminary. She was in parish ministry for over 12 years. Subsequently, she served on the faculty of Virginia Theological Seminary as Associate Dean for nearly 15 years. She taught in the areas of Christian spirituality and practical theology. She earned her Doctor of Ministry degree in Spirituality and the Suffering of God from Wesley Theological Seminary in 1999.

Rev. Marge has been a member of the Church of the Epiphany since 2004. She has always had a heart for the outcast and rejected and particularly for the poor. Sharing the love of Christ, encouraging the spiritual life in others and building confidence, especially among the homeless, for leadership in ministry are life giving aspects of her labor in the vineyard.
