Peate Pegues is a native of Alexandria, Virginia and attended Alexandria public schools. He was introduced to music as a child at Alleyne AME Zion Church in Alexandria. He studied viola and voice in public schools and in college at West Virginia State College. Presently, Mr. Pegues sings in the men’s choir at Alfred Street Baptist Church, Alexandria and serves as the Director of the Welcome Table Choir at Epiphany.
