Albert has been the Outreach Counselor for The Welcome Table program for five years. He received his B.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Central State University in 1961. He studied at Howard University’s School of Social Work. He is a Certified Addictions Counselor (1988) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (1993). Presently, he works for the National Coalition for the Homeless as a Substance Abuse Administrator, with responsibility for individuals suffering from substance abuse and addiction. Previously, he served as Associate Director and Consultant at the Bureau of Rehabilitation, reviewing policies and procedures of community correction centers, and as Substance Abuse Counselor and Assistant Administrator at Hope Village, Inc., where he supervised the execution of policies and procedures, mandated by the Bureau of Prisons, for the transition of federal inmates back into the community.
