The Epiphany Choir, the church’s primary 20-voice choral ensemble consisting of professional section leaders and volunteers, sings at the Rite II Eucharist at 11:00am. Hymns and service music are drawn principally from the Episcopal Hymnal 1982, supplemented by selections from other Episcopal and ecumenical musical resources. The choir has long been known for the excellence of its choral offerings in the Anglican tradition, from chant and Palestrina through to Howells and Stephen Paulus. The Epiphany Choir sings Sunday mornings September to Pentecost (10:00am rehearsal), and a weekly rehearsal is held every Thursday evening 7:15-9:15pm at the church. The choir sings at special services and concerts during the year and performs a wide range of music. We periodically look to increase the choir’s membership: if you enjoy singing and socializing with other musicians, please contact our music director, Jeremy Filsell.

The 8:00am Welcome Table Eucharist features hymns, songs, and spirituals, drawn primarily from Lift Every Voice and Sing II, The Episcopal Church’s African-American hymnal. The volunteer Welcome Table Choir leads congregational singing and performs choral selections and solos, accompanied by piano and organ. They sing every Sunday throughout the year, and meet to rehearse and plan their music both before and after each Sunday’s 8:00am Welcome Table Eucharist and Breakfast. New members are always welcome. The current leaders of the Welcome Table Choir are director Peate Pegues and pianist Bob Wallin.
